Here’s that shit in motion. The bottom floor is still a work in progress cause I don’t think I’d have time to show it in the reel.

Portfolio Project II: Interior
I think my main focus was trying to create a mood with lights rather than focusing too much on what was going on inside. I do think it’s still pretty bare, but I can throw stuff in when it comes to putting it in the demo reel. There was this weird disco thing that was happening when I would turn on final gather. I think it adds to the top shot though.

Character Animation: Dialogue

Visual Effects: Flag
Looking through these stills make me laugh because the assignment was just to apply nCloth to the rope and flag, make it a tearable surface and have an object collide with it to rip it apart. But I decided to make an environment to go along with it cause I had Assassin’s Creed on the brain. I think it’s pretty great that I have the ability to create these kinds of environments. I used to hate this kind of stuff, but now that I know how to get it to look the way I want it to (more or less) it’s much more enjoyable.

So apparently my biggest problem is that I need to learn how to be social.

So the file I copied over to work on at school got corrupted so I had to reanimate the Keytar player. Duplicated the leaves and adjusted the lights cause it needs more leaves and shadows. Seems like it’s going to take the same amount of time to render at 1 frame a second so we’ll see how that works out.
